#113 Surf Song Resort

Surf Song #113 - This is a 2 bedroom 1 bath Surf Song Cottage - Ground floor. The cottage is a separate building apart from all other Surf Song Units. Located on the east side of the complex near the BBQ area 113 has a King in the master bedroom and twin bunk beds and single bed in the guest bedroom. Should you have small children or over night guest there is a sleeper sofa in the living area. This recently remodeled beach cottage has a granite kitchen with stainless appliances updated bath and tropical decor. Onsite management office by SunHost. Free Wifi. There is no phone in this unit.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

As a SunHost Resorts managed unit, this property will be fully furnished with all kitchen utensils, linen for all beds, extra pillows and sufficient towels for your stay. When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person.

Surf Song 113 is located just across the street from the famous John's Pass Village & Boardwalk. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden. You can access the Pass via the beach by traversing under John's Pass Bridge or any of a number of safety crosswalks.

  Our family stays there every year. This is our second time at this cottage. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t very clean, the floors were sandy, the kitchen counters and stove were sticky, the AC vent itself was dirty. Overall an update is needed, especially the Bedclothes. The bathroom could use an update and better lighting along with a new shower curtain. But again, our family rents yearly so we love it there, the cottage is in the best location as it’s close to the laundry (we have mobility issues), and very quiet I would recommend a deep clean. Close to shopping too. Otherwise, love the staff, very great team. See you next year. Blessings, The Agard family.

  My family and I have stayed here since I was a kid. We still visit with our own kids, we have come back year after year and sadly the last 2 have been the most disappointing. We didn’t write a review last year in hopes that maybe it was an off year but again this last stay was again disappointing. It seems there is new management and the lack of care is evident. There were families leaving beer cans and trash poolside while playing loud music in which year after year this was controlled but this year it was a free for all. there was ( I can’t believe I’m typing this but) poop in the pool one morning ( yes poop) and it was not addressed until mid day and we were unable to use the pool for quite a while. It was discovered after I had picked up trash left out from the night before, this is not a guests job to pick up a mess left from other families the night before but When we reported this the office said “ we don’t manage that company” rather than trying to help get this fixed. The grounds weren’t well kept as each morning there were cigarettes and trash around. And the last day there were people actually lighting cigarettes and smoking in the pool, sadly the same group that had the music blasting days prior. I had to tell my son to stop swimming as I didn’t want him near it. In years past someone was on site and keeping and eye on things but after the last two years it is clear that this rental space is being neglected. The prices have gone up but the service has gone WAY down. The units themselves are wonderful as always and I will always compliment the interior cleaning crew and owners for this but overall it is so sad to have to write a negative review about the grounds and lack of care being given to the Surf Song as a whole.

  We have stayed here several times and always pleased. The recent updates were nice to see. What is upsetting is the price hike for the coming year, quite a jump. We did not rebook as we have in the past because we could not justify paying that amount. 🥲

  The cottage was a detached building next to hotel. It was awesome having our own little space. We have 4 boys and didn't need to worry about them running and making noise over people's heads. The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed. Parking spot right in front of unit. The floor was sandy and it was a bit slippery but that is normal for beach units. The pool was close the beach was close and John's pass is just across the beach. I would definitely stay in this unit again!

  Our family always looks forward to this vacation every year! We absolutely love the cottage! Only complaint is The room wasn’t as clean as the past few years. The couch was full of sand and the AC return vent cover and filter were laying on the floor. It looked like it was in the process of being changed but forgotten about.

  Loved the unit, the only problems was the refrigerator wasn’t very cold, reported it and they looked at it and said it was fine. The kid bedroom the tv would go off then come back on every 5 mins, the return air vent in the living room was dirty when I checked the filter it looked like it hadn’t been changed in months. Other than that pleasant stay. Definitely would stay again.

  Since we were there during the Coronavirus Pandemic, it was nice to be in our own cottage. The overall location was excellent. The cottage had a parking space right next to it which was very convenient for unloading groceries, and a pass through the condo complex which gave us very close access to the pool and beach. Located across the street from John's Pass was ideal. The only negative about the condo was how dark it was. The picture shows it very light and bright with all the shades open. However being in the location it was, right next to the office, the parking lot, and the condo complex, you couldn't have the blinds open without having everyone being able to see into your unit. It could definitely use some white paint touch up on the inside entry door and all of the lower wood trim around the floor. In the bedroom with the bunk beds, there was mold around the window sill. Anytime you would accidentally hit the sill, it would flake off on the bed.

  Although this unit does not have an ocean view, this is an excellent location convenient to all the amenities.
