Surf Song #154 - Perhaps no better deal at Surf Song Resort! Prime beach and pool location with views! This studio, motel style, vacation rental has recently been remodeled, including new furnishings. This nicely decorated, ground floor unit offers a comfortable king sized bed, sleeper sofa bed, television as well as refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave. Utensils, linens, extra towels and pillows are all stocked, and ready for you arrival. Please note there is no phone in this unit. Free Wifi . You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

Perhaps the best part is the view overlooking the pool that is directly in front of Madeira Beach.. Guests enjoy the easy convenience of being just steps away from every amenity, including bbq facilities and of course, the incredible white sandy beach, the gulf waters and relaxing heated pool. And just across the street? John's Pass Village! The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination.

When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. It's 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This beautiful Gulf getaway, has something for everyone, including dolphin watching, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

  Unit was obviously just refurbished as strong paint fumes the night we arrived. Location of this place is perfect. Pool was great a little too warm for my liking. The only real negative about this unit, was the size of the bathroom. Very tiny. And absolutely no place to lay cosmetics or hang towels or wet bathing suits. Would return.

  I would never come to the Gulf coast and NOT stay here!
  Many properties to choose from based on your preferences. We found the communication leading up to the stay was thorough and informative. Conveniently located to all things necessary. Room was comfortable. Recently renovated with exquisite taste. Full closet, full dresser, tv, microwave, apartment sized refrigerator with freezer and a coffee pot. Plates, bowls, silverware, cups- but no sink to wash, except for in bathroom.
  No table to sit at in room. Coffee pot had to be placed in an unsteady way for the power cable to reach the power strip. Not many outlets near the beds, so bring an extra power strip for convenience. My personal suggestion to owner, mount tv on wall, put a tall dresser in the closet- leaving space for hanging clothes. Put 2 chairs and a table in room, install a counter with sink for a place to store dishware, (get a Keurig) coffee pot and microwave. We had dry food but nowhere to store it. Space could be used more functionally. OVERALL, fit all needs and would stay here again with this knowledge I would accommodate my stay my way. Also, bring your own soap/shampoo/hygiene.

  We rented room 154. If you are booking this room, please keep in mind it is motel style! Nothing fancy at all. However, the location is supreme! Immediate beach front, friendly guests, and right across the street from Johns Pass. We truly did enjoy our stay. Some things to note- It was just right for 2 people, but I wouldn't bring more. The couch is where we put our luggage for the week. The closet has 2 very old beach chairs- worked great for our day trip to Anna Maria Island. The bed is very uncomfortable and the pillows have no stuffing. There are no tables near the bed. Phones and everything were stored across the room. My hubby drinks night time tea and this proved difficult for that. The pool is right outside your window- so remember to close the blinds when getting dressed lol. Noise level was great! Rented cabana on beach for $35 a day. Ate different meals at Johns Pass for entire stay! It's great if you don't plan to spend much time in the room itself. There are other larger suites from what guests told us.

  Unit 154 is a Motel Room style Condo. I had spent 9 days in another unit and when I decided to extend my stay this was my only option and it did the job.
  The view is beautiful and overlooks the pool to the beach. Location in regards to the building is convenient and is sufficient for a few nights stay.
  The inside needs some updating and reconfiguring.
  The coffee maker and toaster are located right below the smoke alarm and therefore set the smoke alarm off every time I made toast.
  The microwave sat on top of a small fridge are plugged into the same power bar which made me a little nervous so I never used the microwave.
  There is an adjoining door to another room that must be paper thin as I could hear the neighbours voices.
  The unit is sufficient but a little sprucing up and reconfiguring of smaller furniture would make this unit cute. The building is quite old so do not expect a 5 star resort but it's in a great location with a beautiful view. A roof was being put while we were staying there so hopefully renovations will continue.

  Well situated apartment on beautiful Madeira Beach. Room was clean, and had microwave, fridge freezer, tv, sofa and comfortable bed.
  The room is a bit outdated and the sofa needs renewed. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the beach and facilities were excellent.
  I will definitely be back.

  Pool area was not supervised. Posted rules were not followed, people had large floats in the pool and played loud music, making it impossible for us to enjoy the amenity. One night at 10:15, I went out and reminded a large, loud party that the pool was closed and we were trying to get to sleep

  Our family of 7 stayed for 9 nights. We had 3 separate units. They weren't the cleanest. The swimming pool was always pretty cloudy. There were some people smoking 'things'. We didn't know we needed to empty the dehumidifier near daily.

  Unit was a very small efficiency, as expected. However I didn't expect to have to the dishes in the bathroom sink. I had to purchase a large plastic bowl. The air conditioning unit and fridge were very loud. The walls were so thin I could hear the guy next door talking about Trump in a normal voice until 1:00 am most nights. I won't return or recommend this rental.

  The bathroom definitely needs updated, tub was cracked. Had to empty dehumidifier at least once a day and told about this when we checked in. Spectrum cable isn't very reliable but that's all there is. Couch needs to be cleaned.

  Let me start by saying that we have been coming to Surf Song for over 20yrs. We have stayed in many of the units. Love the atmosphere and have always enjoyed our time there and will continue to come back. It's a perfect location and is very reasonably priced. Always a joy to deal with all the employees.
  Unit 154 however is in need of some TLC. Bathroom door and vanity are both peeling. The unit is in need of a thorough cleaning. I spent at least a hour+ cleaning the air conditioner vents, dusting under and behind furniture, the tops and sides of tv stand, headboard, footboard and the dehumidifier...which I never got clean. It in particular was disgusting.
  We also killed 3 of the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen. That was a 1st for us at Surf Song.
  We will absolutely return but hoping conditions have improved.

  #154 is more of a motel room and we knew that when we rented it. It is small, and really needs some work. The bathroom needs repairs, and tank in the dehumidifier in the room was filthy. But we love staying at the Surf Song and will do so again, just not in room #154.

  The location is AMAZING, with mere steps to the pool and beach. John's pass is across the street so you can walk to shops and many restaurants. The room however leaves a lot to be desired...the bed is one of the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. The couch might be better, but I never took it for a test drive. there are adjoining doors to another room and you can hear your neighbors through it VERY well. So, if you or anyone in your party is a light sleeper, this may disturb you. On the flip side, if you are a rowdy bunch, your neighbors will also hear you VERY well. The room is also quite cramped, so keep that in mind if you have to spend any time in it other than sleeping/showering.
