#204 Crimson Condos

Crimson on the Gulf #204 - This condo is a popular vacation 2 bedroom 2 bathroom retreat that is near it all: beaches, heated pool and all the amenities including popular John's Pass Village located just across the street! The moment you step inside this spacious, bright home, you will find everything you need. The full kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, including microwave and coffeemaker while providing comfortable seating for up to seven people; four at kitchen table and three at the countertop bar. The cozy living area has a sectional couch, television and leads to the outdoor balcony complete with incredible beach views! There is no better place than sitting here, watching the sunset and enjoying your favorite beverage at the end of a fun filled day! Free Wifi. Please note that lost keys will incur a replacement fee of $250, or the withholding of the equal security deposit, depending on the method of booking.

Crimson is a Smoke Free property including all private balconies and common areas.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

The beautifully decorated master bedroom contains a king sized bed, television and access to the outdoor balcony. The second bedroom offers a queen sized bed, twin bed and television,. making this a perfect spot for children, or couple with a child. Linens, extra towels and pillows are stocked for your visit. As always, every SunHost property has spotless bathrooms, and all are meticulously maintained. Washer and dryer, wireless internet, and long distance from the US to Canada are also provided.

Amenities also include daily access to the main office for any business needs that arise, such as copying and printing boarding passes. Maintenance is also available seven days a week along with an after-hours emergency call attendant. This is a non smoking home.

Of course, 204 Crimson is situated a short walk from the gorgeous gulf beaches and huge heated swimming pool that will be popular with the entire family. BBQ facilities and hot tub are here as well.

Another sought after attraction? John's Pass Village is right across the street! The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. It's 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area.   SunHost is a terrific management company. The women who work in the office are always cheerful, professional, & helpful. There are definitely no complaints there.
  The location of the property is awesome. It’s an easy walk to the boardwalk, shopping, restaurants, & entertainment.
  The beds are comfortable & that is important. Especially since it’s practically impossible to sit on the couches. They are absolutely awful. It’s super nice to have a washer & dryer, but these also need to be replaced. A light in the hallway has been out for at least a year. It is also obvious that the original cabinets are in the condo. They are in very bad shape. And don’t go there planning on cooking much. The condo is very very poorly stocked with even the basic essentials. (Cookie sheets, cake pans, a colander, mixing bowls, etc etc)
  I keep returning there year after year for the location & the workers at SunHost. It would be nice if some of these issues were addressed.

  Location is great, overall the unit is nice. We did find other renters trash under the beds when checking to make sure we got all of our own stuff out (food wrappers, dirty socks, etc). Also noticed no fire extinguisher in unit. Something small would be nice since we did a lot of cooking.
  The unit itself was a great location and I appreciated the locks required to get in and out of the building. Aside from the cleanliness, which was not enough to deter us from coming back, a very nice rental

  The building was very nice and the location was great. The actual condo unit that we stayed in was not good. I am not sure they had updated the place in 20 years. The appliances were very old, the laminate was coming off the countertops, the other units all had granite and were updated. Would definitely not rent unit 204 ever again as it is now- it is not worth the money, but we are renting a different unit in the same building next year.

  Great working with Sunhost , have used them before. Perfect location , unit and grounds clean and well kept . Have stayed in Crimson # 204 in the past unit is showing it’s age. Countertops are coming apart , some areas in unit the paint is coming off the walls , still well maintained. Supplies provided by owner ,very sparse, very small amount of cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. Nothing else , no paper towels, tissue , napkins etc that many units provide or allow other renters to leave. People were smoking in parking area , advertised as non smoking property.

  Our unit was outdated. Looked like furniture hadn’t been updated in years. Stove looked like it was from 70’s. Had electric coils that didn’t sit flat. Veneer counters were buckling. Small TV in main area. No ice maker in fridge. Only had trays. Dishes and cooking utensils were lacking

  Overall it was a good stay. The condo was very clean, well maintained and the beds are comfortable, but it was obvious that the whole condo needed updating and some of the furniture replaced.
  
  It was across the street from John's Pass which made it very convenient to walk to the shops and restaurants. We loved the access to the beach which was within steps of the condo.
  
  We had an issue with dusty plastic plants and vents. However, once we notified the office, someone was there within the hour to take care of it. I was impressed with the quick response.

  Very nice location. You can literally never move your car if you do not want to. So many shops and restaurants at St. John’s Pass which is just right across the street. Beach is calm and so warm. Rental staff very easy to work with.

  Staff was excellent. Really liked the security. As far as Unit 204. The carpet needs to be replaced or professionally cleaned. Second bedroom, you can feel springs in mattress. Old stove, 1 burner not working. Just a few of the major things that NEED to be addressed as we would stay there again.

  Nothing upgraded in years! Beds are uncomfortable and very old. The couches have no support so that you slide backwards into the the seats. Only two bar stools for four people. We have complained for the last few years and nothing has changed! Obviously the owner has no desire to provide decent accommodations! Canceled for next year!

  Myself and my elderly father stayed in crimson 204 for a week in March. We travelled from Ireland and joined my brother and his family who travelled down from Canada, who also stayed at Crimson. It was a really happy week that we had been really looking forward to, as it was our first time away since Covid began and also since my Mum passed away two and a half years ago. It was a lovely week that meant a lot to my Dad especially, so much so that he was very keen to come back next year.
  On the last morning, we were approximately 50 minutes late checking out. I understand, for lots of reasons, this isn’t fair and I apologised for this when handing back the keys. I understand that we were at fault and it isn’t fair to the staff cleaning the property and to the incoming guests.
  I am however, quite upset by the way this was dealt with by the lady in the office and as I said to her, I feel very sad that our holiday ended on such a bad note. I found her quite rude and just found it all unnecessary to be dealt with in such a dismissive and rude way. I was so caught off guard by this whole interaction that I unfortunately did not get her name.
  We fully intended on rebooking again for next year but I was so upset leaving the office I couldn’t even contemplate having that conversation with this member of staff.
  I also wrote an email directly to Sunhost resorts weeks ago but didn’t receive any response or acknowledgement it was received.
  I would like to make it clear that I have never felt the need to complain or review anything negatively before, and had my email been acknowledged, I wouldn’t have submitted this review.

  Our vacation rental was not updated at all. The countertop was peeling up in one area. The unit itself was not clean. There was mold in the bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets had stuff “running down” them, so they hadn’t been wiped down. The hall bathroom had two light bulbs that were burnt out. Our feet were black from walking around. The “required key” to get to the pool and beach is ridiculous and also a liability. If there was an emergency, and you didn’t have a key, someone could be really hurt or dead.

  We have stayed at crimson in the past and room 204 was a disappointment. Master shower faucet is in bad shape, the kitchen and carpets in the bedrooms should be updated.   The view from the balcony was great. The condo could stand some upgrades and a deep cleaning, other wise it was great. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable but the bed in the 2nd bedroom squeaked and was uncomfortable according to those staying in that room. We loved that we could walk to near by Restaurants and shops and we went deep sea fishing with Hubbard's across the street at John's Pass, which was awesome. Over all we had a wonderful vacation. The people at Sunhost are great and very helpful.

  We have rented two condos at the Crimson for several years. #203 has always been very well maintained but #204 is disappointing always! Two years ago I reported that the beds were terrible and the spread is disgusting. The furniture is so old that when we sit on the couch, it collapses. Two bar stools for four people and kitchen supplies are lacking. Two years later, nothing has changed. Very disappointing.

  This was our first trip to Madeira Beach. Our friends had already booked a unit and asked to join. The facility was nice and clean. Our unit was very outdated compared to our friends. Our toilets would barely flush upon our arrival. Then we had to call maintenance. They snaked it, and brought new towels. No housekeeping. It happened again one evening. No one could come that evening. We had to use our friends restroom and the smell of clogged toilets took over our entire unit! The plumber didn’t come till almost 3:00 the next day! He had to remove a toilet, still using a friends place for restroom and now showers. Once he replaced toilet no housekeeping ever came! There was poop in the floor and the smell was terrible. So for almost three days of our stay, the restrooms could not Be used. They apologized but that was it. Thank goodness we could use our friends facility that was on the same floor.
