Sandy Shores #501 - This one bedroom condo is a Top Floor unit with one bath and an extra large open floor plan. Accommodates up to 4 persons. This great Sandy Shores unit offers updated kitchen with breakfast bar seating, and an updated bath. Sleeping included two queen beds in the bedroom and sleeper sofa in living area. Large flat screen in living area with ample seating. Bedroom also has a television. Linens, extra towels and pillows are provided for the comfort of our guests.

Enjoy free WiFi. TPlease note this condo doesn't have a phone. Sorry NO PETS. Sandy Shores is a Smoke Free property including all private balconies and common areas.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

As a SunHost guest at Sandy Shores, you will have access to office services, including fax, copy, and printing boarding passes. Seven day a week maintenance service is available as well as a 24 hour emergency on call person. This is a non smoking home.

The location of this vacation property is unsurpassed and especially popular for families. Steps away from the beaches, guests can also enjoy the heated swimming pool and BBQ facilities. John's Pass Village, a popular destination for year round residents and tourists alike, is just across the street. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's number 1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.   Came for a ladies trip last minute. We found this condo and it was perfect! Room was clean and roomy! Perfect location across from John’s pass...we walked over to eat one night and a couple times to shop or to grab coffee or ice cream! Condo was close to beach which was great! Pool was big and we always saw pool guy cleaning the chairs and the deck from sand! Very secure with codes to get on elevator and to pool and beach. Super quiet bc sits back off road so you don’t hear all the traffic to John’s pass. Would definitely rent again!!

  Just ok. Disappointed, two cockroaches in the condo freaked me out. Reported it to the office at Sandy Shores they said that is normal after they do their usual maintenance/ bug spray. Curtains need to be cleaned/changes dirty. The couch needs to be changes not at all comfortable. Did like the recliner(the best) and the view of the gulf was great. In all the years (6) we have been coming to Maderia Beach this was the most disappointing. We always stayed at Beach Place but for 2024 couldn’t” get a condo so we opted for Sandy Shores, the elevator terrible wait time terrible. I would rate Beach Place much better although some of there condos have there own issues. There is a lot of much needed improvement fr the owners to up date furniture/decorations in both places.

  Perfect location, comfy beds and recliner. Super awesome view!! Great pool and beach. Very clean and good host communication. Many, many restaurants, bars and shopping in John's Pass right across the street.
  Great Sunday breakfast across the street at the VFW open to the public. Bamboo Beach Bar, good entertainment, drinks (walk to). Walk over to the drawbridge and watch the bridge lift, neat. Lots of beach fishing and 3 weddings on beach while we were there. Friendly staff.

  There was no hot water in kitchen sink. Also, would like a partial refund as the pool heater was broken the whole time we were there, that is the reason we stayed there as I was there last year and loved the pool. More towels would be appreciated. Otherwise, it was very good.

  The building itself needs alot if TLC. The elevator is very slow, hit and dirty. It broke down twice while we were there. The shower by gate coming in off Beach doesn't work. The walls, especially 5th floor are in need of a good cleaning. The room itself was ok. The loveseat was broke, not enought pots and pans, unfortunately there was a cockroach in the kitchen.

  We have been staying in Madeira Beach for many years and this was one of the cleanest Condos we’ve ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable, the pool and surrounding chairs and tables were always clean and tidy. This is a very nice unit. The only complaints we had was the lack of kitchen supplies such as a crockpot and mixer - for those who like to cook on their vacation and the elevator was very slow and could use updated.Otherwise, great stay!

I was advised by a woman in the office that this bldg & all sun hosts resort bldgs had a STRICT no pets policy .I saw several dogs in the elevator & on the property .   Very nice condo. Very good communication with SunHost.
  Elevator slow but got used to it. Pool very nice, too. People there friendly!
  TV situation was not the best. Only cable, with no box, so no guide and hard to change channels. Had maintenance there for that issue, great guy! The best things were the location across the street from John's Pass, no car needed, and the view was crazy beautiful! Beds comfy. Clean. Good recliner! Wifi good. Could use some new fry pans. Used grill, also clean. Wish they would offer a repeat guest discount but will stay again. John's Pass was a great destination walk each day.

  We stay in this condo every year. We love it! But we have some suggestions to make it even better.
  The sofa and loveseat need to be replaced. They are stained and in bad condition.
  The mattresses were ok, but not real comfortable.
  There was a glitch in notifying us that our condo was ready. Instead of them saying there was no problem and that we could get in, the woman was intent on letting me know it was my fault. This is not good customer service,
  In general my interaction with the older lady in the office was not pleasant.

  We rented this condo for a month. If we were renting for a week, we could put up with these things listed. But after a week, the condo got uncomfortable. The rental needs an update. It won't take much effort or money to make this condo five stars. The sofa was worn and dirty. The kitchen was lacking basic supplies; there was no big frying pan, no stirring spoon, no tablespoons, and one dull cutting knife. The kitchen light has broken light panels. The old and dirty dish drying rack was too big to fit in the sink. The drip coffee pot needs to be cleaned (or replaced). The bathroom had no shelves or drawers for storage, and it needs a new mirror. The bath curtain was missing two rings (I brought a set). I ask and got a floor mop, a toilet brush, and clothes hangers. There were no beach chairs. One of the queen beds had a full flat sheet. The pillows were flat. The sheets were thin. There was no tv channel guide. The office supplied a guide but the channels on the guide did not match the tv channels.

  Did not like nothing.
  Payed for 6 days.First day ac was not working,second day spend outside with a little child beacause been waiting for another apartment to relocate.The last day of our stay the constraction company came to our apt from outside(menegament provided them our door code) and started the constraction work.Was messy,a lot of dust so we jast moved out to another hotel in Tampa with a little child.Management just said we have to do the constraction in ur apt because our boss said us to do that.Never ever book this place!!!!
  Just spend money for not working ac and a constraction work,rude guys who entered apt without permission.Menagement just gave them a code from a door and they came and made a constraction repair works.Shame on you!!!Promised to return full amount instead of that just got a funny check for 200 baks.Never ever book this place!!!

  We where of course worried about the red tide. But from the moment we arrived and until the moment we left everything was amazing. The condo and the view was wonderful. The pool was refreshing and the walk to the beach was only a few steps away. The water was clear the entire time we where there. The walk across to John’s Pass was short and we enjoyed the shops & restaurants. Since we are members of the VFW that was a plus. We would recommend this unit to others and I did bring some brochures home with us. Sandy Shores was the perfect location.

  My family has been going to Sandy Shores for over 15 years and it has always been a fantastic experience . The management was great, always putting their guests first and taking care of anything we needed. This is my first year with Sunhost owning the building and it was awful ! It’s strictly a money maker to them. Check in is now 4pm rather than noon like it was in the past, so essentially you pay for a whole day but by the time you get your room you most of the day is over. And there is absolutely no wiggle room with the 4pm check in. Under the old management, once the room was cleaned you were
  Welcome to go in. Two mornings I woke up to huge bugs on the floor but when I told management at check out they just told me exactly what type of bus they were and that they were and that an exterminator was coming tomorrow ( which I’m sure was a lie) ... such a rude response . They didn’t even apologize or take
  a few bucks off... finally when I spoke to the owner he was very egotistic, telling me how he now owns almost all of the beach front condos at Sandy Shores. This stay broke my heart. The place that was such a friendly family facility with customers always coming first has become just a money maker for the Sunhost corporation. I will never go to any place they manage ever again !

  Condo is a little dated and dingy.. especially the bathroom! We needed to use the pull out couch but there were no linens included and the mattress was terribly thin and uncomfortable so we bought a blow up mattress instead. The view from the Condo can’t be beat.. it’s a corner unit so you have the added bonus of a view from the window when inside. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book the same unit again.

  We have stayed at Sandy Shores during March for almost 10 years. Although those stays have been wonderful, we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness this year. The carpeting was dirty and the furniture was stained. We are hoping this was a temporary problem and will be taken care of.
